Shared Agreements for Members of Princeton Giving Project

:

  1. When/Where: Every quarter, members of the Princeton Giving Project will identify a focus for our giving, nominate organizations and each make a donation to the top vote getter (at a minimum of $25). The group will meet in person once a quarter.

  2. Nominations: Everyone in the group can nominate an organization for PGP donation.

  3. Advance Voting: Everyone who signs up for the Princeton Giving Project will receive the full list of nominated organizations and information about them to inform their vote.

  4. Guidelines: Nominated organizations must be 501c(3) and work in the United States.  The following guidelines are encouraged but not required:

    • Local/regional organizations to enable participants to learn more about efforts happening in our community where there might be greater opportunity for volunteering – in addition to financial contributions.

    • We will be picking different themes for each quarter to narrow our focus for those 3 months. This is not a requirement but we will be following the vital conditions for health and well-being framework and each quarter will be organized around a different vital condition. The theme in Q1 is “Basic needs for health and safety.”

Selection: At each meeting, we will make it easy for everyone to make a donation to the featured three organizations, especially the top vote getter ($25 minimum). Note that each donation will be made directly by the individual to the organization – allowing all donors to claim their own tax deductions – but if there is an opportunity on the donation form, we encourage donors to note that they are giving in honor of this giving circle so we can try to track our impact. .

Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.
